Had a lovely dinner there with my partner. They did an excellent job catering to all her dietary restrictions and were extremely polite and calm about it all. Very welcoming and professional. The food quality was top notch, as was the service. It's not cheap, but you are getting what you pay for.
This is one of the best restaurants in the city.We went for our anniversary dinner and it was such a great experience from the moment we stepped out of the vehicle until we got back in it. We got there and our table was ready, our waitress was great and came out with 2 glasses of champagne wishing us happy anniversary. Throughout the rest of the evening everything that came to our table was just amazing. The food could not have been better and our dessert dish was such a nice touch. I think we'll make the VG a tradition
This is a long overdue review. I attended this establishment for valentines day this past year. We had a nice table in the corner and our waitress was very professional and listened to our requests. The way she poured our wine one can tell she was trained well in hotel hospitality. I ordered the 40 day aged rib eye steak and it was succulent, juicy, cooked med well, it was very tasty. My partner had the Manitoba Pike and her dish was delish. You can't go wrong here, the service is top notch and you can actually have a conversation vs other places we have been to for fine dining in Winnipeg, some places can be really loud. I will definitely come back here again soon.
MOTHERS DAY BRUNCHThis by far is the best place for Mothers Day. Yes, it is pricey but... I did not feel rushed at all. They set up the seating so that you are not crowded. They are always quick to bring you more coffee. clear your plate or bring you more mimosas... (which are included)Keep in mind this is a buffet and you need to go into the lobby to get your food but it was ALL good! The eggs benny was fantastic. So, I have not eaten here for dinner or lunch but I really felt special and comfortable for a Mothers day brunch.The ONLY DOWNFALL is the bathrooms. The toilets are way too low for anyone with need problems...
This was a belated anniversary dinner and it was a wonderful experience. The food is lovely, the service is top notch and we felt like we were treated like a million bucks. Thanks to The Velvet Glove for such a great evening!
