Awesome eastern European food. Healthy, no huge servings! Small, quaint place. Since there is no longer great German food, or Hungarian restaurants in Winnipeg, this is the place to go when you need your homestyle comfort food. And you'll take some home for leftovers tomorrow!
Chicken Schnitzel was amazing. Small hole in the wall restaurant with knowledgeable staff and great food. Potatoes Obrien and cabbage were also amazing as well as the soup. Fresh wonderful bread served to all patrons as well serves as a great appetizer or is the perfect vessel for mopping off every last drop of soup in the bowl because you are going to want to finish it. Forget finishing the plate because the servings are fully represented and fair for the price. Wish I had room to try dessert.The only one thing is that out of place is that they have a focus somewhat on the fact that some food network show featured them at one point. It is pointed out in the menu as well as by a sign on the wall that the server directly referenced. I would like them to have an identity outside of of a food network show being filmed there and they should because the food holds up.I will definitely be back to try other dishes!
This was the best dining experience I've had in forever their schnitzel is to die for. Extremely friendly staff and large portion sizes. Nice little hole in the wall that not enough people know about. Go check them out on your next dinner outing.
Excellent service. The Chicken Schinitzel lunch special is delicious. Large portion with an amazing Dill Potato salad and a few small slices of fruit. Recommended you stop in for lunch.
Amazing food and service! Ordered the stuffed veal and kylling. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious! Worth the wait! The staff were great and the atmosphere friendly and inviting. A gem of a restaurant! Can't wait to go back!
