I am writing this review about Aesops Veterinary Care on St. Annes Road. I had been at a different clinic for many years. I sought out a new clinic after one of the other vets suggested I euthanize my dog if I wasnt willing to spend more money to find out what was wrong with her. This came after already spending thousands of dollars.Our first visit was an unexpected and sad one at Aesops. We needed to put our other old dog down unexpectedly and quickly. Aesops did not know us at all. The compassion from Dr. Dyck and staff made a horrible decision much less difficult. I was amazed how they cared for our sweet old girl as well as us. They told us exactly what to expect and went enough the process with us every step of the way. I will always remember Dr. Dyck carrying my baby ever so gently to my waiting arms when I got into the car. I will never forget their care and compassion. When we took our other dog to Aesops instead of euthanizing her, Dr. Stogdale was amazing. She definitely did not think our dog needed to be euthanized! Dr. Stogdale knew what the ailment was immediately and started us on a treatment plan that is very successful. I appreciate how both Dr. Stogdale and Dr. Dyck write everything on the computer of what is happening and what we shall be doing next and THEY PROVIDE A COPY OF IT! They are amazing! I used to think my other vet was good, but there is no way they are anywhere near the excellence of Aesops. One thing about Aesops that should be known is that they charge by the hour. I would MUCH RATHER PAY THIS WAY, than get charged for an office visit just for stepping in the door of a different vets for a few minutes of their time. I am so impressed with Aesops, I would recommend them to anyone. The vets, the techs, all support staff are the best there are! They also continue to work there, instead of going to a vet where the staff change so often, they dont even get to know you or your dog.I will be forever grateful to my daughter and a couple of friends who recommended we try Aesops.Aesops do easily deserve a 5 star rating.Louise Lagimodiere
We have been seeing Dr Dyck and Dr Stogdale for several years for the care of our three dogs and could not recommend them more highly. We have been so impressed with the time and extra care they take to ensure that our dogs are receiving the best healthcare and that we fully understand the treatment and care plan. They take the time to discuss your pets health, explain things in a straight forward manner and you always leave with a print copy of the health plan and recommendations. We regularly receive personal phone calls from Dr. Dyck to follow up on test results and changes in care she may recommend. Not only are they sensitive to your pets needs but they also have an understanding of us as pet owners and treat all with compassion.
Terrific staff, amazing vets. We first starting coming here with a terminally ill dog with what was at the time a mystery disease. They take a highly scientific approach and explore all options from the holistic right up to the modern medical, depending on the needs of the animal. Despite the approach, the compassion and care is above and beyond. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Dyck, Dr. Stogdale, and their staff.
The doctors here went well beyond a typical interaction. They were amazing
While we have yet to bring our pup here, we were searching for a new pet doctor who would be more sensitive to our our pooch and her needs. We've called around to many vets in winnipeg asking about their practices and basic care and aesop by far exceeded the initial expectations that we are seeking in a vet. We look forward to scheduling any future appointment with Aesops based on our initial phone consultation and anticipate maintaining this 5 strategies review.
