Terrible experience at the Canadian Tire store in St. Boniface in Winnipeg, MB. I was appalled by the the way I was treated. I felt as though I was profiled by the security guard as a thief. And when I expressed this to him he laughed. He sought me out and stepped in front of me to make me leave my child's diaper bag at the customer service desk. Not only this but he escorted me to the desk and stood there until they had my toddlers Star Wars diaper bag. I couldn't have felt any more like a criminal. This was all within 5 minutes of entering the store. I am a 34 year old male who was having an enjoyable evening shopping with my wife and 2 sons, until entering this store. I am going to be repeating this story to anyone that will listen and am completely disappointed as I usually enjoy shopping at Canadian Tire. I'm sure it will be some time before I even think about shopping there again.
I cannot say enough about the guys in automotive. I was worried about my lights dimming, and needed this looked at immediately before a trip. Dylan squeezed me in with just 3 hours notice.Richard and Garnet were extremely polite about the hilarious discovery that I had inadvertently turned on a dimmer switch. They could easily have sold me on a new alternator and/or battery, but instead were completely honest. They really did their best not to laugh at me, too. Highly recommended shop. You will feel safe here as a female customer, which can be hard to find.

Took my car last night for an oil change and tire change. They called and told me they didn't have my other tires, I told them they were in my trunk. Eventually they found them. The service attendant told me my car would be ready early afternoon (I had an 8am appointment). I called 3 times in the afternoon, the last time, at 3:30pm and was told the car was done. I asked for a ride (they offer shuttle service), Denise tells me that he will call when someone is on their way. I called back at 3:55pm and he gives me attitude, telling me he doesn't know where his driver is and he "might be able to get me a ride after 4pm". Their shuttle service onoy operates from 8am-4pm. It's now 4:30pm and still no shuttle or no phone call with an update. I've had my previous car at this location a few times, but after my experience today, and the lack of quality service, I will not be back.
Went there and asked the parts guy if they have the parts I needed for my van, he was able to pick it all up on the computer and even made me a quote, though they didnt have it in the store, it had to be delivered there, he said itll take an hour or two. It was 3pm when I ordered the parts, checked in after two hours, asked the girl on the parts section if she could double check if my parts arrive already or not, she said did you get a call, I said no, she said then the parts are not here yet. Couple more hours passed by, I had to get my dad to pick up the parts as I had errands, he talked to the same girl that I talked to, and she was giving my dad attitude. She was saying you will get a call when your parts get here so until you get a call your parts arent here. All Im saying is you cant blame us to check in with our order when you say it should get to the store in two hours, I placed my order at 3pm, checked in at 5pm and checked in again at 7:30pm, and she had to guts to give my parents attitude..and she didnt even apologize for the parts being late.. smh
