This company goes above and beyond. Called on a Sunday, was just going to leave a VM yet they actully answered the call, the gentlemen gave great advice and once we realize it was more of a drainage issue(which his company does not deal with). He took the time to provide me with the name and number of another company that can help. The helpfulness of Shorty's Plumbing & Heating is exceptional to say the least.
Had great expectations of this company based on reviews. However, after having them come out a 2nd time (to fix something they broke while there the first visit), the tech tried to charge us over $600 for a part that actually cost just $200. We understand labour costs but we were told it would just be a 15 mins job; so $400 in labour for 15 mins seems a little much. When called to discuss this with a manager, we left a message to notify them of this odd behaviour. We weren't looking for reimbursement (we actually went elsewhere for this specific job) but figured management should know techs are quoting jobs at a higher price than should be. We were assured someone would call us back, and never heard back from them. Not a company we will be dealing with moving forward.
I called Shorty's for the first time a few weeks ago when my gas furnace would not stay lit. My call was answered promptly and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A technician was available the same day and arrived at a time that was convenient for me. He was also very friendly and informative. He explained everything that he was doing and completed the necessary repair very quickly during his first visit. The price for the service call was very reasonable and I definitely plan to use Shorty's again in the future.
The gentleman who came to fix a leaking pipe & replace on/off valves was professional and very knowledgeable.He did an amazing job!
