******DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL******Normally I dont write reviews, however, I feel that people need to be warned about this place so they know what may happen and how it may be handled by this particular hotel. My stay at this hotel ended with a police report for my vehicle being broken into by drug addicts that live in the stairwell of the parking garage. There is NO security in the parking garage and NO cameras- there have been many instances such as mine and the police have spoken with the Hotel in regards to the drug addicts that live in the stairwell and the lack of security in the parking garage with no action on the part of management. After notifying the hotel manager, who while sympathetic to the situation, did not offer any compensation for the situation. I am now having to file an insurance claim for the $3000 worth of items stolen and damage done and will have to pay my deductible of $1000. I will also say that as a guest, you have to pay for the parking garage and should be able to except some type of assurance that you will not come out to your vehicle being ransacked and items stolen. I have been a loyal Marriott member for quite some time and have Platinum Elite status. This situation has soured my opinion for Marriott and the way they conduct business in circumstances such as this. I may reconsider my loyalty to Marriott as a result. Stay away from this hotel or risk being violated by being robbed there.
Lost a star only due to construction noise from a renovation on floor directly above which began early on a Sunday morning..why? Most hotels would warn guests as a courtesy.However the Delta is a beautiful hotel in a good location in downtown Winnepeg. Indoor and outdoor pool amazing.Large, private balconies with good city skyline views.
Parking was advertised as free but you need to pay for on sight parking ($18) other than that hotel was great. The outdoor pool was nice. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Exactly what u would expect from a Delta. Nice location in the core of the city. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Personally I loved the shower which was nice and hot. The gift shop was closed when I was looking for snacks and the hotel staff opened it just for me. Outstanding.
Stayed here for a business trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in an accessible room, which was very well designed. The room was clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the updated desk with easy to reach outlets (including USB ports). There is very little sound insulation between rooms so I could hear my neighbours.
