My mom and I went there last night and it was delicious! We were looking for a place to have dinner and ended up all the way over there. it was definitely worth the trip and the ribs were out of this world! We will definitely be going back. We had Famous Daves in Fargo, ND and it wasn't even 1/3 as good as in Winnipeg!
The service was excellent. She was an incredible server and the food came out in a timely fashion. It was the food itself that didnt blow me away. Im not understanding how, when they first opened and for so long afterwards, there were massive wait times for a table. We got the platter for two. The best thing about it was the, really small, corn on the cob. The ribs were dry and seemed very cookie cutter-like for a piece of meat that should be pretty random. The chicken was okay but the huge amount of pepper overpowered the rest of the seasonings and the brisket was dry. The beans, cornbread and coleslaw were okay. Overall, nothing they served us was better than I can do myself at home for cheaper.
Wasn't blown away by this BBQ joint. Food wasn't bad but not above average either. Went here with two friends for the 2nd time after a long break after the first visit. The service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. The food we ordered was the legendary feast for 2. Corn bread was very good. The ribs were good, I found Montana's better, or Tony Roma's. Rotisserie chicken was very salty I preferred a bird from the deli at Safeway. Brisket was a little on the salty side as well. Corn and fries were standard. Overall it was good but I was hoping for above average at a specialty BBQ joint like this. My 2 friends all agreed at 3 stars, they felt the same.
Excellent place to eat if you are craving bbq food. Very large portions and lots to choose from. One of my favorite places to go!
I seriously just had THE BEST salmon EVER!! It truly was cooked to perfection!!! And that pineapple glaze...so awesome!! The service that accompanied it was fantastic!! First time in 11 years that my husband ever left with a doggy bag!! We will DEFINITELY be back!! Thank you for the wonderful Anniversary dinner!!
