Lots to see and do in this place. It's a Gem we Winnipeggers should be so proud of. And it's only getting better. From the Zoo to the mini steam train or just hanging out at the volleyball pits. Young and old there's something for everyone looking to be outdoors.

Assiniboine Park has always been a nice place to spend an afternoon... sorry to see the gardens building close down... the mol gardens sculptures have always been a high light - last time I was there some woman and her pubescent daughter were covering nude sculptures with articles of clothing... I mean get real... maybe educate her instead. Can't wait for the new outdoor theater to open... the old stage served well... this looks to be the modern huge version of Rainbow Stage.Overall great for a walk or bike ride... or just watching the world go by

This is such a great park. Tons of beautiful green space and lots of paths to walk on. The duck pond is a great place to hang out and watch the ducks. If you have kids, the children's park is world-class. Highly recommend!

This park is so beautiful and something to do for all ages. They have the zoo, the steam train and the kids park which is amazing. The lyric in the summer always has stuff going on at the stage. Leo mole sculpture garden is a zen place to take sit or picnic. Over the bridge is Sargent Sunday great place for ice cream. Best of all it's pretty much free to go other that the zoo and steam train.

I love this park. Good for biking, walking, having picnics. Concerts and activities occur in the summer. There is a duck pond with nice seating areas to hang out. The pond doubles as a skating rink in the winter. Next to the pond area is a restaurant called the Park Cafe which is open mornings and afternoons. There is a play area for kids so the park is pretty family-friendly. There are many lots that you can rent the host family barbecues. Several sports fields are used to play soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, etc. There is also a Terry Fox Fitness trail which hosts a number of structures to do strength training and and general endurance. Each fitness area has printed instructions posted that outlines a number of workout activities. So you can come here for a run and get some strength training done as well. And there is a lovely plant/flower garden, statue garden, and the Assiniboine Zoo. Lots to do here!
